This Western-facing vintage cottage overlooking Kinderhook Lake is set-up for entertaining, water activities and watching sunsets. The property has a boat lift on the lake side, but also has additional frontage on the Electric Park cove side, which is perfect for accessing the water with kayaks and paddleboards. The lake side offers plenty of outdoor entertainment space with a deck above, and a stone patio below that provides protection from sun and rain, but still has those lake views. Inside you will find much of the original 1914 knotty pine cupboards and paneling, and the kitchen and upstairs bath have been upgraded with granite countertops and travertine flooring. Also on the upper floor there are two bedrooms and several dining/living areas with a sliding glass door out to the deck and a wall of windows overlooking the lake. Heating and cooling is provided by two mini-split units with additional heating provided by two Vermont Castings propane heat stoves. The downstairs entertainment area includes an original wet bar with a sizable sink and generous cupboards and counter space to serve as a kitchenette for patio dining. This level also features an open family gathering area, half bath as well as a sleeping porch. Two sheds (one on the lake and one on the cove) provide ample storage for gardening tools and water toys. Three parking spaces round-out the package. Come here to relax in or by the water, or hop on your bike and go to the rail trail, just a few blocks away. Ten to fifteen minutes away from shopping, restaurants, farmer's markets and all the activities offered by the villages of Valatie and Kinderhook.
